Welding Butts

Resistance Welding creates reliable joints by passing a low voltage, high ampere current through the two wires.  Carbon clamps bring the two ends of thick wires together, whereas disposable cylindrical WELDING BUTTS replace the clamps for thin wires. These welding butts are crush removed after the joining operation. Welding butts can be made of Glass, which is precise but more expensive or Mullite, which is not as precise but cheaper. The Glass Welding Butts are replacing Mullite in recent years. We keep in stock Glass Welding Butts of dimensions shown underneath. The Mullite Welding Butts are available on batch order basis.
